Did you know that you can easily import eml or msg files directly into outlook?

This tutorial describes 3 methods and demonstrates how to:

• Import .MSG files into Outlook and Outlook Express
• Import .EML files into Outlook and Outlook Express

• Import RFC 822 (RFC822) into Outlook

* rfc822 standard files are standard internet email message files that typically have a file extension of .eml or .msg

Steps for Method 1:

1. Using Windows Explorer, open the folder containing the .eml or .msg files
2. Open Outlook or Outlook Express
3. Highlight the files in the windows folder
4. Click and drag the files into Outlook
5. That's it! You're done!

Method 2

What do you do if your version of Outlook does not let you import standard email files like demonstrated above?

Its still very easy to import .eml (text rfc822) Email files into Outlook if you use outlookFiller!

Q. How do I use outlookFiller?

A. It is very easy to use outlookFiller. We recommend these steps:

1. Close Outlook if it is running
2. Open outlookFiller
3. Use the little folder icon in the "Input Folder Location" area to browse for and select the folder you have your email files stored
4. Click on the "Start Importing Email Into Outlook Now!" button
5. (outlookFiller will 'go-gray' and show some progress information as it works ... be patient if you have a lot of email files!)
6. Wait for the status bar to report "Finished."
7. Close outlookFiller
8. Open outlook
9. look for the new folder named "outlookFiller" and you will see all of your email files and folders ready to use!
